We tried to open earlier but unfortunately that wasn’t cost efficient as we didn’t have enough sale to off set the cost of labor. Most people don’t know that it takes 90 mins to make boba. We make fresh boba every 4 hours since boba is not good any longer than that. Our Chewy Puffs are made fresh daily and it is a 5 hour process to produce the perfect crispy and chewy fried pastries.

At this time, Fat Straws is a privately held, family owned and operated company. The company does not franchise, and finances its expansion solely through retained earnings. Due to the overwhelming franchise inquiries, we will not be able to respond to all the e-mails.

Our unique fried pastry originated in Japan and are known for their crispy exterior and chewy inside. Fat Straws Chewy Puffs are made with mochi flour (Japanese sweet rice flour). Each chewy puff is handed dipped in house-made glaze.

Yes, you can pre-order Chewy Puffs for future dates.

– Pre-orders can be 100% refunded if cancelled 48 hours before the pick up or delivery date/time.
– If orders are not picked up within 2 hour of scheduled time, Fat Straws reserves the right to sell orders.
– Sorry, no refunds or credits for no shows or same day cancellations.
Chewy Puffs are perishable and cannot be kept overnight for delayed pick-up.

Fat Straws does not offer refunds based upon customer error or palette preferences.

There are many opportunities to sample our products to make sure you will like what you order. Most items such as chewy puffs and drinks are available for individual purchase in-store.

Please note: We have a first-come first-served policy. We CANNOT set aside donuts if you are not in-store or purchase through our “Order Online” option.

We do not ship. Chewy Puffs are best when consumed on the same day they are made. The logistical problems getting the Chewy Puffs to arrive fresh and undamaged have simply proved to be too difficult to solve.

Most of our products are gluten-free including our tapioca pearls. Please let our team know about any potential allergies when ordering. (Chewy Puffs are not gluten-free. They contain wheat).

YES! We offer Almond Milk, Oat Milk and Coconut Milk as dairy substitutes for your brewed teas. Our boba and jellies suitable for vegans. We also have sugar substitutes instead of honey so just ask our TEAm member when ordering and they’ll help you. Chewy Puffs are not vegan.

To submit an application for employment, please visit our “Jobs” page. Minimum age to work at Fat Straws is 16 years old. We do not hire temporary or seasonal help due to our extensive training program. Due to the large amount of applications we receive daily, please refrain from calling our stores to inquire on status. We will review and get back to candidates accordingly.
